4/9/2008 Mayor Menino Announces Solar Targets
Mayor Menino announced at Fenway Park today that Boston is setting a target of
25 megawatt of solar energy in Boston by 2015, up from a half a megawatt today.
US Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman was on hand for the announcement, and Red
Sox Chairman Tom Werner announced that Fenway Park is installing a solar water
heating system with support from National Grid and the Bonneville Environmental

1/31/2008 International Renewable Energy Internship Launched
CDS International, InWEnt, and the American Council on Renewable Energy have launched a new
renewable energy internship program in Germany this summer. The Transatlantic Renewable
Energy Exchange is a three-month paid summer internship program in Germany for US students,
and applications are due at the end of February, 2008. REStrategies is assisting the
program.

12/20/2007 World Wind Energy Association Publishes Wind Energy International
The World Wind Energy Association has published its 2007/2008 Wind Energy International, which
features profiles of sixty-six country's wind energy markets, and thirty-six special reports and
feature articles. The book can be ordered on the WWEA website. Wilson Rickerson contributed the
2007/2008 US profile.

12/5/2007 California releases 2007 Integrated Energy Policy Report (IEPR)
The California Energy Commission adopted the 2007 IEPR report after nearly 50 public workshops
and hearings. The document contains a broad range of policy statements that will impact renewable
energy development in the state. Among them is a recommendation that feed-in tariffs for projects
20 MW be adopted in "the immediate future." The full report can be found here.

10/16/2007 Highland to Offer Wind Degree
Highland Community College (HCC) recently announced that it will partner with EcoEnergy to develop
a wind turbine technology degree. The program will be the first of its kind in Illinois, where
demand for trained wind technicians is expected to grow rapidly in the near future. REStrategies
conducted a survey of campus sustainability efforts and energy programming in August, 2007.

10/12/2007 Solar Boston Initiative gets Underway
The City of Boston is one of thirteen cities around the country to have become a Solar City
under the US Department of Energy's (DOE) Solar America Initiative. During the next two
years, Boston will launch a range of initiatives aimed at expanding the city's solar energy
market. Rickerson Energy Strategies has been selected to support the City's efforts under
the DOE grant.

9/26/07 Presentations at Solar Power 2007
Wilson Rickerson joined two panels at the Solar Electric Power Association's Solar Power 2007
conference in Long Beach, CA. The first, entitled The Great Incentive Debate was chaired
by PPM Energy's Tom Starrs and featured Barry Cinnamon from Akeena Solar, Stephen Frantz
from the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, and Cecilia Aguillon from Kyocera Solar.
The second panel was part of a half-day workshop on municipal solar strategy, entitled
Leading the Solar Revolution in Your Community, Your City, Your Neighborhood. The workshop,
which was sponsored by SolarCity, was chaired by Tom Kimbis from the US Department of
Energy and featured speakers from San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and New York City.

8/31/2007 NYC Solar Market Update published in Renewable Energy Focus
An article on New York City's solar electricity market was published in the
September/October issue of Renewable Energy Focus. The article updates the 2006
New York City solar energy market report, published by the Center for Sustainable
Energy at Bronx Community College. The article was co-authored by Tria Case,
Lara Ettenson, and Tom Marotta.

8/27/2007 Presentation on Capitol Hill
On August 27th, 2007, Wilson Rickerson gave a presentation on the potential for feed-in tariffs
in the United States as part of a briefing for Congressional staffers and Members of Congress. The
presentation is a part of the Capitol Hill Climate Change Lunch Series sponsored by the German
Marshall Fund of the United States and the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Christine Wörlen, Head of
Renewable Energies at the German Energy Agency presented on the impact feed-in tariff policies
in Germany.

7/24/2007 Delaware Enacts Landmark Energy Legislation
Governor Ruth Minner signed an ambitious package of bills into law today. The new laws double
Delaware's commitment to renewable energy from 10% by 2019 to 20% by 2019, require 2% of state
electricity to be generated by solar power, expand net metering to 2 megawatts, double the
amount collected annually by the state Green Energy Fund, and create the country's first
Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU). More information about these policies can be found at www.dsireusa.org

7/12/2007 Presentation at SOLAR 2007
Wilson Rickerson joined a panel at the American Solar Energy Society's (ASES) SOLAR 2007
conference in Cleveland, OH. The panel focused on renewable energy policy best practices from
around the world and was chaired by ASES Executive Director Brad Collins. Wilson presented on
German renewable energy experience, while Paul Gipe from the Ontario Sustainable Energy
Association presented on Ontario's new feed-in tariff, and Dan Bihn from Bihn Systems presented
on renewable energy policy in Japan.

7/2/2007 Jeopardy!
Wilson Rickerson appeared on the July 2nd, 2007 episode #5266 of Jeopardy!, but was roundly
defeated by Jessica Eyde, an interior decorator originally from Fort Worth, Texas and Cathy
Lanctot, a law professor from Wilmington, Delaware. A play-by-play can be found here. Wilson
plans to keep his day job.

6/20/2007 New York City named a Solar City Partner by the US Department of Energy
New York City has been named one of thirteen Solar City Partners by the US Department of
Energy (DOE) under the Solar America Initiative. As a Solar City Partner, the City will develop
a long-term solar energy strategy to complement the City's recently published PlaNYC 2030
sustainability plan. REStrategies worked closely with the City to draft and submit its proposal
to the DOE and is assisting the City with the Partnership on an ongoing basis. An overview of
