Comparative Policy Analysis in the European Union and North America
Client: Heinrich Böll Foundation North America
Conducting ongoing research on renewable energy policy systems adopted by European Union (EU) member nations and US states. Current active projects include researching the potential to adapt feed-in tariffs to the US context, and investigating the potential for best practices exchange between Europe and the US on renewable heat policy.



Solar Boston Partnership
Client: City of Boston
Coordinating the City of Boston's Solar City Partnership with the US Department of Energy under the Solar America Initiaitve. Helping develop and implement the city's solar energy strategy, and supporting the City's efforts to encourage large-scale expansion of Boston's solar energy market.



Renewable Portfolio Standard Policy Support
Client: California Energy Commission
Working with a team of consultants led by KEMA to support the California Energy Commission's renewable portfolio standard policy analysis and development efforts.



Solar America Initiative Solar City Partnership
Client: City of New York
Worked with City of New York staff to draft and submit the City's successful long-term solar energy planning proposal under the US Department of Energy's Solar America Initiative. Working with the Center for Sustainable Energy to assist the Office of Long-Term Planning and Sustainability, the Economic Development Corporation, and The City University of New York with program management and implementation.



Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency (DSIRE)
Client: North Carolina Solar Center, Raleigh, NC
Working with North Carolina Solar Center to update a database of federal, state, and local policy incentives for renewable energy and energy efficiency. See www.dsireusa.org.



Brownfield Tax Credits: An Incentive for Siting CHP
Client: New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
Working with the Pace Energy Project and Capital Energy Solutions to create an outreach and education campaign targeting combined heat and power on brownfield sites in New York State.



Dispatchable Peak-Shaving PV in New York City's Area Network
Client: New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
Supporting a project to demonstrate a PV/battery system designed to dispatch at periods of either facility or utility peak demand at LaGuardia Community College in Queens, NY. Project partners include The City University of New York, Gaia Power Technologies, the New York Power Authority, ConEdison, and the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy.



Federal Programs to Support State and Local Climate Change Initiatives
Client: US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
Providing research and analysis support to US EPA state and local climate change programs as part of a Center for Environmental and Energy Policy team under contract to
ICF International.
